That’s one of the first lessons reporters are taught. Or were taught. Conventional wisdoms shifts slowly, then fast. Until what was once wise becomes heresy.

So please forgive me if I opt out of the broader “who I am” exercise. For now, I’ll just say that this will be a place for ongoing reporting, perhaps fragmented or in-progress, but always my own.
